Seven young winter sports athletes have been honored with the prestigious China Youth May Fourth Medal for their outstanding performances at the 25th Winter Olympic Games and the 14th Winter Paralympic Games. The award was jointly announced by the Communist Youth League Central Committee and the All-China Youth Federation.
The medal recipients include Su Yiming, Wang Xindi, Dang Hesong, Wang Tao, Yu Shuang, Liu Zixu, and Ji Lijia. Other athletes such as Wang Yue and Ning Zhongyan received provincial-level honors and were not given the medal again to avoid duplication.
In the statement, the authorities praised the athletes for their perseverance, patriotism, and determination, noting that they achieved China’s best ever results at an overseas Winter Olympics, showcasing the spirit and capability of Chinese youth on the global stage.
