Real Betis have qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 21 years.
On Tuesday, Betis defeated Elche 2-1, securing fifth place in La Liga and guaranteeing a spot in next season’s Champions League. Antony expressed his joy, saying, “That was our goal and my dream. I’m happy to be back.” He continued: “I am very happy to be part of this team, this beloved club. That’s why I never stopped running for a single moment. Being part of this team is a source of pride for me.”
Manager Manuel Pellegrini also shared his satisfaction: “I am very pleased. I am extremely satisfied with what the team has achieved throughout the season. We overcame numerous setbacks, including occasional defeats and injuries, but finally securing the Champions League spot along with the fans who have been waiting for this joy is a great happiness for all of us and every Betis supporter.”
