Brazil’s national team has submitted a preliminary list of 55 players to FIFA for the 2026 World Cup. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) forwarded the pre-selection list, compiled by coach Carlo Ancelotti, last Monday (May 11). Neymar is included, while Estêvão is left out. Lance! has gathered confirmed inclusions and absences from the roster.
Since taking over, Ancelotti has called up 58 players for Brazil across World Cup qualifiers and friendlies. Of those, only 51 have actually taken the field. Four are ruled out of the World Cup due to injuries: Éder Militão (Real Madrid), Vanderson (Monaco), Estêvão (Chelsea), and Rodrygo (Real Madrid). Among the remaining 47, defenders Caio Henrique and Beraldo, midfielders André and Joelinton, and forward Vitor Roque did not make the preliminary list. The 55 names sent by CBF to FIFA include some players who were never officially called up by Ancelotti for previous international windows. These are Thiago Silva (Porto), Matheus Pereira (Cruzeiro), Neymar (Santos), and Pedro (Flamengo).
