During the first game of the Gagarin Cup final series, Lokomotiv forward Alexander Radulov and Ak Bars forward Grigory Denisenko exchanged profane insults on the ice.
The heated exchange saw Radulov call Denisenko a “damned scoundrel” while Denisenko responded by calling Radulov a “dog”. The verbal spat unfolded in the opening match of the best-of-seven series.
Lokomotiv went on to defeat Ak Bars 3-1 in the game, taking a 1-0 lead in the series. The incident, captured on video, has quickly become a talking point among hockey fans.
